Extended Opening Hours
After getting sales of ladders on both Sundays and Saturdays and lots of phone calls coming in after normal trading hours we have decided to try an experiment during February and March by introducing extended opening hours. We now have someone on standby from 9am to 11pm to take your phone calls. On Sundays we will operate from 9am to 9pm.

The best Plan Expo for 25 years was one of the comments I heard said about the show. During the show we were very busy so much so that by the end of the show my voice was beginning to go. Sales during the 3 days were light and if I had been asked to rebook for next year just as the show ended I would have politely declined.
However during the 4 days after the show ended ‘all hell broke loose’ the phones in the office lit up and the sales came in thick and heavy. Great show!
Work at Height legislation seems to be a national obsession we were repeatedly asked questions on mobile aluminium scaffold towers and low level work platforms and we had sales in both areas.
Now, a quick thank you to some people - Victor, lighting and design, Derek, support and logistics, Alan for € support, Monica for Pixels and Fred for muscles and not forgetting those people who bought products, thank you all for making Plan Expo a great success.

In order to save ourselves some time we have started a blog. Yes, a blog about ‘work at height’ and ladder products. We want to save both ourselves and you time with this blog by answering your questions before you ask them and not having to answer the same questions over and over.
We will be covering the Irish Law in relation to ‘Work at Height’ and we will be doing some product reviews to enable you to choose the correct equipment for ‘work at height’.

LADDERS.IE is back in the R.D.S from November the 8th to the 10th of 2007 for the Plan Expo Show. With the introduction of the new Irish Law for ‘Working at Height’ on November 1st 2007 we are expecting lots of questions on this area. Because it can be difficult to find the time to talk at length with everyone at a trade show, over the coming weeks we will be adding information about the new law to our web site. We will also have hand-outs at the trade show to give you a briefing on the new law. Call to see us on Stand T8.

Statutory Instrument S.I. No.299 of 2007
The new Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 are now law. The act is a 120 page ‘must’ read for company directors, self employed and just about anybody involved in work. Part 4 of this act relates specifically to ‘Work at Height’ and this section applies to everyone involved in work. The definition given to ‘Working at Height’ is now so broad that it includes everyone.

LADDERS.IE exhibited in the RDS at The Irish Building Show. It turned out to be another very successful show, in particular we would like to thank the 27 people who actually parted with their hard earned cash and purchased products during the show. We would also like to thank our existing customers who called to see us at the show, it was great to meet and put faces to people we had sold products to through the phone only. The stand was very busy and to my amazement between the three staff we had handed out over 450 business cards by Saturday at 5pm when we closed. Thanks again for all your support and we look forward to looking after your access needs in the coming months.

LADDERS.IE exhibited in the bi-annual Hardware Association Trade Show in the R.D.S. It turned out to be an outstanding event for us with many sales during the two days of the show. We caught up with some old friends and made some new distribution agreements.

LADDERS.IE is appointed as a distributor of the Japanese Mobile Tower. This timely appointment comes at a moment when some of Ireland’s larger construction sites are demanding a higher level of health and safety equipment on their sites.

LADDERS.IE uses D.H.L. as its overnight shipping agent in most cases, at 10 Euro per unit it’s difficult to beat this price. Sometimes however we do need to deliver ourselves.
